What Does Your Real Estate Website Say About Your Business?

Does your real estate website accurately portray you and your real estate business?  It should because if it doesn’t, you could be losing potential business.  Real Estate Web Design has become so affordable over the last few years there is no reason why you can’t afford to pay someone or a web design firm to build you a well designed real estate website with all the latest technology.  Heck, WordPress makes it so easy you could even install your own WordPress Blog with a themed template and then customize it with your own logo, pictures and content.

The reason it is so important to keep your website up to date with current technology is over 85% of home buyers use the Internet to search for their new home.  Granted if you can’t be found in the search engines, it doesn’t matter what your website looks like but this article is written based on the assumption you can be found.  If you don’t have IDX or some other search feature, chances are they will leave your site.  If they can’t find the IDX Search function, they will leave your website.  Make sure the visitor can find what they are looking for, here is a hint, majority of the time they are looking for the search feature.  Real Estate Webmasters (REW) designs one of the best real estate websites that incorporates an IDX search.  Check out their LEC Websites.

Just the other day, I received a phone call from a potential Property Management Client in Las Vegas.  He advised he was looking for a Property Manager to manage his investment property in Las Vegas.  He searched Google for “Las Vegas Property Management” and found a handful of sites, including mine.  He advised he only called 1 property manager and that was me.  His reason, many of the sites looked out dated leading him to believe the Internet was not a priority in their business which could affect the marketing of his rental home.  Little did he know, the websites of many of the companies that ranked in the top 10 were some of the biggest and most successful Property Management Companies in Las Vegas.  Makes you wonder why they would be neglecting their websites!

So if you are going to take the time to build a website or pay someone to build one, make sure your website accurately depicts you and your real estate business as it could cost you future business if it doesn’t.
