Salt Lake Mortgage Grant of $10,000 available for First Time Home Buyers

Your Salt Lake Mortgage may qualify for up to a $10,000 grant to put towards your down payment. A federally funded deferred loan/grant program administered by the Community Development Corporation of Utah is offering assistance to First Time Home-Buyers. You can receive up to 6% ($10,000 max) of your purchase price to help pay for down payment and/or closing costs. Qualified applicants will be taken on a first-come, first-serve basis.

To qualify you must:

  • Meet the income eligibility requirements (see below)
  • Be a First Time Home-Buyer (Please call for definition)
  • Buy a home within Eligible Boundaries (see below)
  • Contribute at least $500 in personal funds towards purchase
  • Complete Homebuyer Education course
  • Purchase a house that will Pass Visual Assessment for Health and Safety

Eligible boundaries include Salt Lake City, Sandy, Magna, Kearns, Taylorsville and Unincorporated County of Keans and Magna.
