Irving, Texas remains a highly desired area for those individuals looking to relocate to Dallas. As a result, the Irving real estate market is incredibly robust, even despite the flailing national economy and poor housing market of the past year.
Irving real estate is varied and attractive, and much of the hottest new real estate here can be found in the master planned communities of Las Colinas and Valley Ranch. These affluent communities boast some of the finest Irving real estate, both in the residential and commercial sectors.

- Irving is home to the acclaimed Las Colinas Movie Studio, which houses the largest collection of sound stages in the country. More than 10,000 visitors experience the Las Colinas Movie Studio every year.
- Irving is home to the fourth largest convention and visitor’s bureau in Texas. As a result, this city hosts some of the biggest events in Texas, including the PGA Tour’s GTE Byron Nelson Classic, the Senior Tennis Tour and the Irving Open tournament.
- Sporting events are plentiful in Irving, as it is home to the Texas Stadium and the Dr. Pepper Star Center.

I would not recommend Irving as a place to live because the Taxes are so high compared to other popular places in the Dallas – Fort Worth Area.
I would recommend Flower Mound which has one of the lowest crime rates, highest income per capita, best housing prices, National Ranked schools and housing values have been somewhat stable as compared to the decreasing home values in Irving and the Dallas Area.
