Great blog you started there Andy. Don't know where you find all of the time and energy, but it is obvious that you are very passionate about the mortgage industry.
I read your blog post about the pre-approval vs. pre-qual. Borrowers and Agents are starting to respect difference between the two a little more as the market calls for a more thorough application process. I remember a year ago having to give agents a quick 15 min. phone approval late in the evening because their clients were putting offers in on properties in the morning. It didn't matter if I told them that it was impossible to give a full approval under those conditions because they had already contacted 7 other loan officers who promised lower rates and a full approval.
There are some great opportunities to shine as a professional during the pre-approval and final approval process. Including the agent, seller, and buyer in that system is a smart move.

Mark, thanks for the compliment; just trying to help out all the LO's out there (rookies and veterans). I completely agree with you about the potential to show your professionalism and really establish a great relationship with your clients and Realtors throughout the entire phase (prior to offer).
I'll go into that with the Pre-Qualification and how you can use that as a huge marketing tool on Wednesday's blog post.

Andy,
You have done an amazing job with this blog. You add some value for the members. To be honest is does not matter if you are brand new or a veteran to the mortgage business, everyone can learn a thing or two.
I want to thank you for your contribution to WN.:)

Thanks for the compliment, Bernie! The only thing I want to do at this point is share my experiences and what has worked for me (and include excerpts from other leading professionals as well).

I am trying to keep it up, but I have to say that it really is a hard task to accomplish. So, to my avid readers, I apologize for not updating this blog more quickly!
Thanks for the compliment, though!!
