Hyperlinks

A Hyperlink is simply a link from one page to another page or site.

The tutorial video below shows how to add a link when in the HTML editor screen, but it is also possible to create a link in the visual editor mode.

When linking to an internal page, it is OK to open in the same page.

However, when sending someone off of your site, make sure you have the link open in a new tab or browser window so that you don’t accidentally send someone away for good.

It’s also a good idea to copy and paste the actual link to ensure you’re getting the entire URL address.

Also, make sure you use good anchor text when linking to other pages.

Be descriptive so that Google knows exactly what it is you’re linking to.

Anchor Text are the words that you’re linking from.
